In 1990, the WIB - Weißenseer Integration Behinderter e.V. - was established by 22 founding members. In 2010, the WIB - Weißenseer Integrationsbetriebe GmbH emerged from this as the main shareholder in the WIB association, which combines three companies:

• The WIB - Weißenseer Integrationsbetriebe GmbH: It houses the management, the Sozialpsychiatrische Verbund (SPV) with the offers of housing and day structure for people with mental illnesses and addictions, as well as the integration counseling with the integration specialist services and certified labor market assistance - since 2016, offers for the integration of people with migration experience have also been included.
• WERGO GmbH stands as a company for the recognized workshop for people with disabilities.
• The companies Waschhaus and Industrieservice of WIB Integ GmbH are inclusion companies according to SGB IX § 132.

Around 190 employees and just under 90 workshop staff work in the WIB network at 19 Berlin locations in Weißensee, Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg, Charlottenburg, Lichtenberg, Malchow, Karow, Buch and Adlershof.
